Details

Immerse yourself in the stunning scenery and the great variety of species. You will have the chance to witness the incredible biodiversity of Uganda's national parks, including Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Kibale Forest. These parks are home to over half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas and a large population of chimpanzees. Don't miss the opportunity to interact with these fascinating primates in their natural habitat.

When you arrive at Entebbe International Airport, a representative from Adventure in the Wild Safaris will welcome you and bring you to your Kampala lodging. Enjoy the air from Lake Victoria, the world's second-largest lake. Enjoy your supper and spend the night.

After breakfast, the guide will pick you up from the hotel and transport you to Uganda's Murchison Falls National Park. You'll pass through many communities, including the Luwero triangle.

In the early 1980s, Luwero was a battlefield, which facilitated the National Residence Movement's success. You'll stop in Masindi for lunch before heading to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for some downtime and the chance to see critically endangered white rhinos. Rhinos are no longer seen in Uganda's wildlife areas due to widespread poaching that pushed them out. As their numbers increase in the sanctuary, there is a proposal to reintroduce them into national parks. After seeing the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the driver will take you immediately to the top of Murchison Falls, where you may take photos and listen to the Nile's roar. Dinner and an overnight stay at Pakuba Lodge round off your day.

Today we will visit Kibale National Park, which is home to chimpanzees. The Kibale Forest is home to 13 distinct monkey species, with chimpanzee tracking and bird viewing being the primary attractions. On the journey to this tropical forest, there are villages and bustling road markets. A packed lunch will be provided. The trek will take you more than 8 hours to reach the park. You will check in and be led to the lodge, where you may eat and sleep.

Chimpanzee tracking is a wonderful adventure that takes you deep into tropical woods with streams of water and a diversity of wildlife. You will arrive at the park headquarters immediately after breakfast, where you will meet the ranger guide, who will inform you before the start of your chimp excursion. While hiking, you could witness red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white Columbus monkeys, butterflies, and birds singing from the trees. Your ranger guide will aid you in tracking down the chimps. Take pictures of them and watch them play, groom, and feed. After lunch, depending on time limitations, visit Bigodi Wetland, a community project known for its rich population of birds and monkeys. This community business assists young people in finding jobs via tour guiding. A part of the proceeds goes toward teacher salaries and school buildings. Arrive at the lodge, have supper, and prepare for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, we will continue our wildlife adventure at Queen Elizabeth National Park. Views of many crater lakes and the enigmatic Rwenzori Mountain ranges are accessible. After arriving at the park and having lunch, go on a boat safari in the Kazinga Channel. A boat safari is an excellent opportunity to explore the lake, animals, birds, and photography. You will arrive at the park, check in, have supper, and spend the night for the minimum amount of time.

The animals have emerged and are starting their days in their different families, clans, and groupings. Compare the animals in their natural habitats to the imprisoned species in zoos. This will mostly be accomplished on the Kasenyi Plains, which are home to a large Kob mating habitat. Keep an eye out for elephants, lions, leopards, waterbucks, buffaloes, and a variety of colorful birds. Following this meeting, we head to Ishasha, known for its tree-climbing lions, to view them. Although it will be tough to find them, we will conduct a search with the assistance of rangers. Lunch will be given either as a picnic or at the inn. You will then go to the lodge, have supper, and spend the night.

We set out on our trek to Bwindi, the home of the mountain gorillas, today. The route passes through the Kigezi Highlands’ terraced slopes. Depending on the time of arrival, lunch will either be along the route or at the resort. At your hotel in the resort, get some well-earned sleep. In the morning, we will embark on an exciting gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. With the help of experienced guides, we will navigate through dense forests and rugged terrain to witness these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. Don't forget to bring your camera to capture this once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Mountain gorillas are gentle giants that may be found in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda. Bwindi's dense forest is home to a variety of plants, birds, butterflies, primates, and animals. Your ranger guide, together with early trackers, will bring you to the enormous and endangered mountain gorillas that reside deep inside the Bwindi woods. You just have an hour with the gorillas to capture your greatest moment; the hiking journey may go anywhere from one hour (rarely) to eight hours. Those who do not like to track gorillas may participate in a short, guided forest trek or a community village stroll. You will then go to the lodge, have lunch, and prepare for an evening Batwa nature walk, during which you will engage with these people and learn about their methods of departing. You will arrive at the lodge, have supper, and spend the night.

As you share stories about your encounters with gorillas, we head to Lake Bunyonyi, the second-deepest lake in Africa. Enjoy the breathtaking countryside, which includes interlocking hills that the natives have terraced for farming and that Winston Churchill dubbed the “Switzerland of Africa.” Have your lunch at the lodge and relax. After lunch, take a leisurely boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi to fully appreciate its tranquil beauty. As you glide across the calm waters, marvel at the lush green islands scattered throughout the lake, each with its own unique charm. The serenity of the surroundings will provide a perfect opportunity to unwind and soak in the natural wonders of this picturesque destination.

After a good night's sleep, get up today, have your breakfast, and enjoy the light shining over Lake Bunyonyi. It is surrounded by beautiful hills that the locals terraced while cultivating potatoes and other crops for their own use as well as excess for sale. Take a canoe excursion to some of the 29 islands to learn about the history and culture of the region. The most memorable story is that of "punishment island," which your guide will tell you about while you go on the boat.

You may swim in the lake immediately after lunch, go bird watching, or walk up a high hill in the afternoon to obtain a better view of the lake and its islands. You may even read a book while relaxing on the lake's shore.

Lake Mburo National Park in south-western Uganda is a hidden treasure, and the road there takes you through lovely landscapes, plantations, and farms. We'll have lunch in the Igongo Cultural Museum, which has displays on the everyday lives of local indigenous people. You'll arrive in the park in a few hours. We'll take a boat excursion on Lake Mburo in the park later that day. You will then check in at the park and be escorted to the lodge for supper and an overnight stay.

We go on a wildlife drive and then drive to Kampala after an early breakfast, stopping briefly at the eponymous Equator line. Depending on your arrival time, have lunch in the city or at the Equator before continuing to Jinja. Jinja is a vibrant town located on the shores of Lake Victoria, known as the source of the Nile River. Here, you can indulge in various water activities, such as white-water rafting, or take a boat trip to explore the beautiful islands scattered across the lake.

Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast, and go to Jinja to observe where the Nile starts its 4000-kilometer journey across Africa. Your driving guide will transport you to the water rafting launch point, where other people are anticipating an exciting day. You will spend a whole day rafting on the Nile River. You will sail half of the rapids before and after lunch. You may go rafting for half a day and then rest or engage in one of the other activities in the afternoon.

We sincerely hope you enjoyed your time in the Pearl of Africa, both in the outdoors and among the Ugandan people. Purchase mementos and then proceed to the airport. As you prepare to depart, don't forget to take a piece of Uganda with you by purchasing unique mementos that capture the essence of this beautiful country. Whether it's a handcrafted souvenir or a traditional artwork, these treasures will serve as lasting reminders of your incredible experiences. Once you have your mementos in hand, make your way to the airport, where friendly staff will assist you with your departure arrangements. Safe travels, and we hope to welcome you back to Uganda in the future!
