Tanzania

Located in eastern Africa, the nation goes by the name of the United Republic of Tanzania. In addition to the Indian Ocean and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, it borders Burundi, Rwanda, Malawi, Kenya, Uganda, Mozambique, and the Comoros Islands. Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest peak in Africa, serves as the country's highest point. Some of the world's oldest continuously inhabited regions may be found in Tanzania.

Fossils have been unearthed in Olduvai Gorge dating back almost 2 million years. Afterwards, people from southern Africa who were connected to the Khoisan hunter-gatherers supplanted these early humans. Tribes from West Africa began moving and establishing themselves in the nation some 2,000 years ago, following these early hunters and gatherers.

Arab and Persian merchants were the first non-Africans to enter the nation. In 1498, the first Europeans, commanded by the Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama, arrived and joined them. The Arabs drove the Portuguese off the shore after they had only been there for a little while. Following WWI, Britain seized control of the nation, which Germany had previously occupied. Throughout this period, the islands in the Indian Ocean, including Zanzibar, were administered individually. During achieving independence in 1964, mainland Tanzania joined with the Zanzibar archipelago to become the United Republic of Tanzania.

Tanzania today has a population of roughly 56 million people and 120 ethnic groupings. Although these ethnic groups each speak their own language, they are unified by their mastery of Swahili. Swahili is utilized as the language of communication in the lower courts, elementary schools, and during legislative discussions. English is widely utilized for diplomacy, overseas commerce, higher courts, and in secondary or higher institutions of study.  The capital is Dodoma, although Dar es Salaam is by far the biggest city. It is the country’s business and cultural capital, with most of the government offices there.

Tanzania boasts some of the top tourist destinations in the world. 38 percent of the land in the nation is protected or conserved for conservation-related objectives. The country features 17 national parks, 40 reserves, and many marine parks. Tanzania is one of the top four nations to go on a safari in Africa. Although Kenya has more attention as a safari destination, Tanzania is distinctive and exceptional when it comes to diversity. Tanzania provides wonderful cultural experiences, stunning terrain, beaches, and animal encounters that are second to none. From the stunning wildebeest migration in the Serengeti to the exotic beaches of Zanzibar, Tanzania offers it all and more.
