The Kidepo Valley National Park wildlife watching is by far the greatest, with numerous species such as bush duikers, leopards, cheatahs, striped hyenas, smaller kudus, buffaloes, jackals, antelopes, bush infants, and many more. Kidepo Valley has great hiking adventures with beautiful scenery of the Lamoj Mountains, just a short drive from the headquarters; Kanangorok Hot Springs, a fantastic spot to visit and see lions on the Ant Hills; and Narus Valley in the park’s south-west with great views of hyenas, leopards, and a diverse range of wildlife.

The outdoor hikes that bring you to the Karamajong communities in their manyatta huts and traditional Karamajong clothing, spears, arrows, and bows from their homesteads may be an enthralling experience for all those seeking African cultural experiences. In addition to the breathtaking scenery and wildlife, Kidepo Valley National Park offers visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich African culture of the Karamajong communities. Interacting with the locals and witnessing their traditional way of life, complete with authentic clothing, weaponry, and housing, adds a unique and captivating dimension to any visit to the park.
Rise early since you have a long travel ahead of you, eat breakfast, and get on the road with our driving guidance to the north of the country. After breakfast, we left Kampala/Hotel and proceeded north to Kitgum, which is 452 kilometers distant. The route takes you through the historical Luwero Triangle. After a brief halt at Nakasongola for stretching and refreshments, proceed to Gulu Town, where you will be fed your lunch, and then to Kitgum, where we will spend the night.
After breakfast, go for a 2–3-hour journey via Kakwanga and Loitanit villages to Kidepo Valley National Park. Continue inside the park and check into the lodge. Relax as you wait for your delicious lunch. After lunch, go on a fully packaged evening game drive. Back to the lodge late at night for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, go for a morning game drive in Kidepo before returning for lunch and preparing for an afternoon game drive. Return later to check into Apoka Lodge. Apoka Lodge provides exquisite accommodations as well as breathtaking views of the surrounding forest. Relax in the lodge's luxurious facilities before having a great meal beneath the stars.
Breakfast is served there, followed by a wonderful game drive, lunch, check out of the park, and a drive to Kitgum for supper and an overnight stay at the Boma Hotel. The Kitgum Boma Hotel provides spacious lodgings and a variety of services to guarantee a pleasurable visit. After a peaceful night, continue your tour by seeing Kitgum's cultural legacy, visiting local markets, or participating in community events before continuing on your excursion.
After breakfast, we'll drive to Kampala, stopping for lunch along the way, and then proceed to the airport to catch the next flight.
