The 7-Day Rwanda Classic Safari is an exciting adventure through Rwanda's main tourist spots as well as hidden treasures. Kayaking on Lake Kivu and passing through Kigali while trekking deep into the mountains of Nyungwe Forest and Volcanoes National Park in search of critically endangered mountain gorillas and mischievous chimps will leave you in awe of Rwanda's stunning natural beauty and incredible wildlife.

A representative from Love Uganda Safaris will meet you at the airport and accompany you to your accommodation in Kigali town. Lunch will be served after some time to relax and refuel. Take a city tour and pay your condolences at the Kigali genocide monument, where over 800,000 Rwandese are buried. Dinner and an overnight stay in Kigali.

Choose a separate city tour after breakfast to explore additional fascinating sights such as the national museum, the presidential palace, artisan markets, and local culture, among others. After lunch, enjoy a scenic drive to the Volcanoes National Park, where you may observe endangered mountain gorillas. Spend the evening in Ibyiwacu Cultural Village to learn more about Banyarwanda traditional customs and traditions in this region. You will get the chance to interact with locals in their natural environment and learn about their unique culture and customs as part of the cultural encounter. After this cultural refreshment and entertainment, return to the lodge for supper and the night.

Spend a day with critically endangered mountain gorillas in the wild. Hike across the undulating hills and greenery of the Virunga Mountains until you come upon these humble, timid apes. Spend time with these intriguing creatures as your tour guide describes their habits, families, and way of life. After meeting them, guests are only allowed to see mountain gorillas for one hour as they feed, play, and care for the babies. Return to the lodge and spend the evening resting and studying after the meeting. The lodge will provide dinner, and you will spend the night.

On the fourth day of your Rwanda Classic Wildlife Safari, drive to Akagera National Park and arrive in the late afternoon. Proceed to Lake Ihema for a pleasant boat ride around its shores, which are home to a diverse range of aquatic and terrestrial animal populations, including hippos, buffaloes, and Nile crocodiles. You'll also get to witness Rwanda's second-largest lake, as well as a variety of bird species that reside in the marshy environment. Retire for the evening after supper.

After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive to observe stunning creatures up close, such as zebras, antelopes, and giraffes. Following that, you will depart the park by automobile and stop for lunch on your way to Kigali. Continue on till you reach Nyungwe Forest in the dusk. Nyungwe National Park is home to a variety of primate species, including chimps, red-tailed monkeys, white and red colobus monkeys, and others.

Travel to the park headquarters after breakfast for an introduction before beginning your chimp trekking trip. If you like primates, Nyungwe Forest National Park is a must-see since it is home to over 13 different kinds.

You will be divided into eight groups, and at 8:00 a.m., you will go on this exciting adventure with the ranger guide along the wonderful forest walk in search of chimps. While going around the trails and listening to the delightful sounds of numerous bird species preserved in the forest, you may see other primates such as grey-cheeked mangabeys and Colobus monkeys. The excursion lasts two to six hours, but expert guides will transport you to where you can see the primates as soon as possible. It's a fantastic pleasure to be able to see chimps play, eat, and rest up close. Return to the resort for lunch before stepping outdoors for a thrilling canopy walk to witness the gorgeous twin lakes and the many bird species that call this forest home. Return to the lodge for dinner and a night's rest.
On the last day of the seven-day Rwanda Classic Safari, you will either be dropped off at the resort or driven to the airport, depending on the time of your departure. You will have breakfast before departing for Kigali Airport.
